This Privacy & Cookies Policy explains how we collect, use and disclose information received from users of InvestmentPal.com, the InvestmentPal Blog (blog.investmentpal.com), and their directly associated domains and services (collectively “InvestmentPal”, “Website” or “Services”). “We” “us” and “our” refer to IVPL Pte. Ltd. “You” and “your” refer to each user of the Services.
We may revise this Privacy & Cookies Policy from time to time, and the most current version always will be on the Website. If any revision is material, we will notify you via a message on the Website or e-mail to the address associated with your account.
1. Information we collect
We collect and store personally identifiable information you knowingly disclose on our Website.
Sign up & Profile
To sign up for InvestmentPal.com, you must provide us with your first and last name, email address and a password, and country/region (for premium members). To subscribe to a paid premium plan, you will need to provide us with your billing and payment information for your payment card, including a billing email address which need not be the same as your account sign up email address.
Once you are logged in at InvestmentPal.com, you may provide additional optional information such as your photo, city-state, profession, title, company, and qualifications.
Contact & Comment
When you contact us, we may store your contact information such as email address and any information you provide, in order to respond to you.
To post a comment on InvestmentPal Blog, you will be required to provide your name and email address.
Cookies
As with most other websites, we use cookies to customize your experience and to track site usage. A cookie is a tiny data file which resides on your computer. A session ID cookie confirms that you are logged in and terminates once you close your browser. A persistent cookie which stores your login ID (but not your password) may be used to make it more convenient for you to log in when you return to InvestmentPal.com.
Using your browser settings, you can remove or block cookies, or request to be notified if you receive a cookie.
Log data
As with most other websites, we collect and store the data contained in log files to operate our Services. These log data may include your IP (internet protocol) address, web browser type, referring domain, access time, search terms, pages visited, and links clicked.

Our Services
Your name, country/region (for premium members), optional profile information you choose to provide, and content you generate or share can be viewed by all logged-in users of InvestmentPal.com.
When your InvestmentPal.com profile page is set “visible to public and search engines’, your name, country/region (for premium members), and profile information you choose to provide and content you generate or share, are made visible to third-party search engines so people can find you.
When your profile page is not set to ‘public” and is visible to only logged-in InvestmentPal.com users, certain profile information such as your name and photo may become public as a result of third-party activities such as a user setting ‘public’ his or her page which contains your post or an interaction with your post.
When you interact with content (eg comment on a post) on InvestmentPal.com, your name and optional photo may become viewable to the user who generated the content.
Your log-in email address for InvestmentPal.com will not be revealed to other users. After you verify your email, your log-in email address will be used to send you certain notifications as part of the Services (eg. when a user follows your content on InvestmentPal.com). You can choose which of these notifications you would like to receive and which you would not.
When you subscribe to the InvestmentPal Blog, we will use your email address to send you blog updates which you can unsubscribe from.
Communications with you
As part of providing you the Services, we may need to provide you with certain important communications, such as service announcements and administrative messages, which you may not be able to opt-out of.
We may also send you certain Service update emails which you can choose to opt out of.
In addition to communicating with you via email (e.g., when you forget your password, or when there is an important service message), we may also communicate with you via messages on the Website (e.g., when your email is not verified or when there is an important service message)
Your billing email address will be used to send you billing related emails including receipts, invoices and reminders.

We may share your information with third parties when it is required in order to provide certain services or to execute your instructions. For example, we may share your information with a third-party payment provider to process your purchase of certain services. Changes to Your Information
At any time, you can update your personally identifiable information such as name and profession on your Profile page on InvestmentPal.com. All profile information is optional, except for your name and country/region (for premium members). You may also change your log-in email address.
Access to Your Information
Your name, country/region (for premium membership) and all other profile information you choose to provide on InvestmentPal.com will be displayed to other logged-in users when they visit your profile page. When you set your profile page to “public”; your profile information may be made available to third-party search engines so that people can find you. When you set your profile page to “be visible to only logged in InvestmentPal.com users”, certain profile information such as your name and photo may become publicly available as a result of third-party activities such as such as a user setting public his or her page which contains your post, or an interaction with your post.
Deleting Your Account
When you delete your InvestmentPal.com account, we will automatically delete your name and profile photo on InvestmentPal.com. Database snapshots containing backup of your data on InvestmentPal.com data will be automatically removed in 30 days.
We may retain certain information contributed by you to prevent fraud and abuse or if required by law, and we may retain certain de-personalized information after your account has been closed. We may be required by tax authorities (eg EU) to maintain customer location records for up to 10 years.
After your account has been deleted, we may request your feedback or provide you with Services updates that may be of interest to you via email, which you can opt out of.
4. Data Security
We are committed to safeguarding the confidentiality of your personally identifiable information. Access to your account on InvestmentPal.com is password-protected. When you enter sensitive information such as your email address and password on InvestmentPal.com, such data are encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS) which is an updated and more secure version of socket layer (SSL) technology.
While we use industry standard security measures to protect your personally identifiable information under our control, we cannot control the actions of others with whom you may choose to share your information and content, and even after removal, copies of user content may remain viewable in cached and archived pages of other services such as search engines until they refresh their cache. We rely on third-party service email delivery providers to send emails to users. These email delivery service providers will use TLS encryption as long as TLS is supported by the recipient mail server.
To enable automated recurring payments for premium plan subscriptions, customer payment and billing data are encrypted and stored on payment platform Stripe servers. Stripe is a payment platform which has achieved PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliance.
5. Data location
Application, storage and database servers which store your personal data on InvestmentPal.com are located in the U.S. Servers of third-party email delivery services where your email address may be stored are located in both the U.S. and Europe.
Images including profile photos you choose to upload may be cached at locations outside the U.S. to enhance the user experience of users who may access InvestmentPal.com from outside the U.S.
6. Our policy toward young users
Persons under the age of 18 are not eligible to use our Services. If we become aware that a person under 18 has provided us with personal identifiable Information, we will delete such information from our files.
